The email broadcast feature comes standard with all myBuildings implementations. Some organisations use it heavily, some could be making more use of it.
On a standard myBuildings implementation you will find the link to the email broadcast feature under the menu Site Tools -> Email Broadcast.
Email Broadcast is not designed to be a system for email marketing. There are specialist systems for that purpose. However, myBuildings Email Broadcast is designed to work with users of myBuildings. -
The most common reasons that a contractor is not available to assign a work request to are the following:
Work Request Type - the contractor is not set up to be able to complete a work request of the type submitted. For example your work request type is for plumbing, but you are trying to assign it to a contractor who does not have the type plumbing as one of the types of work they are able to undertake. If you need this contractor to be able to perform this type of work, speak to you myBuildings administrator and they will determine if the work request type should be able to be added for this contractor.
Building - the contractor is not set up to be able to perform work on the building that your work request is for. If you need a certain contractor to be able to perform work on this building, speak to your myBuildings administrator and they will determine if this contractor should be able to added for this building.
Insurances - at least one of the required insurance policies for the contractor you are trying to assign the work request to has expired. When this occurs the contractor is not able to be selected, regardless of if they are set up to be able to undertake work of the type that your work request is for, or if they are able to perform work in the building. The most common reason for this is that the contractor has failed to update their insurance information in myBuildings. Your myBuildings administrator will be able to assist you to resolve this quickly and be able to assign your work request to your chosen contractor.

Contractors should first contact their administrative contact at the organisation who is providing you access to their implementation of myBuildings.
An administrative contact is better positioned to help you with your requirements because they know what they are expecting of you and how you need to use myBuildings.
If there is something that arises that an administrator is not able to assist you with, they will contact us directly at Core Vision.

If you need to reset your password, click the Reset Password link near the Login button and follow the instructions.
You have five unsuccessful attempts to log into myBuildings. If you are not logged in at that point your account will be locked.

There are several built-in roles in myBuildings.
The most likely reason you are not able to perform an operation is that you have been assigned to a user role that doesn’t include the functionality that you require.
To resolve this issue, speak to your myBuildings administrator and see if the need to upgrade your access based on the role you need to be assigned to.
User roles are:
Administrator
Users who have been assigned this role have the highest level of access in myBuildings. These people are generally regarded as a champion of the system and have a good understanding of processes. This role enables adding and changing setting and users.
It is recommended that at least two people should have Administrator access.Manager
The Manager role is for those who have everyday use of myBuildings. They create work requests, assign them to contractors and others, follow them up and close them when they are complete.
Manager should be the role selected for Building Managers / Facilities Managers and similar job roles. Although an Administrator can also perform this role it is recommended that the two roles be separate, so an Administrator would not perform day to day tasks.
Contractor
The Contractor role is for contracting organisations. These roles receive work requests from myBuildings and their staff are assigned to attend the site and complete the request. The Employee role sits under the Contractor role. A new record is set up for each employee. This is explained in detail in the set up of contractors.
Tenant User
A Tenant User is a role that is linked to a tenancy. The tenancy is assigned to a level or levels on a building. A Tenant User has the ability to lodge a work request for their tenancy. They only have oversight of work requests for their own tenancy.
Restricted Tenant
A Restricted Tenant is a lower level of access compared to a Tenant Administrator. This role has the ability to do limited things within myBuildings which are part of their role. This will be things such as having access to documentation or information.
A Restricted Tenant does not have access to create work requests, but may have read only access.
